"I have known Carl Rankel for sixteen years now. He was the first landscaper I contacted when I moved into this area and he has been taking care of our property ever since. Carl has always been reliable, both winter (snow plowing) and summer (grass cutting), knowledgeable concerning planting and how to care for plants, as well as being friendly and helpful at all times. Create-A-Scape handles all of my landscaping needs in the best way possible and that is why I have been with Carl for sixteen years!"
Sincerely,
(Mrs.) L. M.

"Carl and Create-A-Scape have been caring for my property for 15 years. We were the first family in the neighborhood to use the company, and now virtually every family on our street is a Create-A-Scape client. Perhaps the best thing I can say about Carl is that I rarely have to ask him to take care of anything, because he always anticipates our needs and provides comprehensive landscape care reliably and efficiently. Create-A-Scape's services are of the highest quality and value, whether for routine lawn maintenance or for the most demanding tree care and landscape design."
Sincerely,
(Dr.) S. M. S.

"Just a note to let you know how satisfied I am with your work. My gardens and landscape have never been nicer than now. Winters are no longer a problem, since you have been handling my snow removal. Thank you for being so reliable."

"Create-A-Scape is the sixth landscaper I have employed since moving to Garrison and, by far, the most reliable, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Always professional and pleasant, whether cutting down dead trees, trimming shrubs, weeding, or maintaining the lawn, its owner and his crew have helped to turn my "jungle" into a botanical rock garden. I especially appreciate their way of tackling projects with an approach that makes the most sense in the long term and that safeguards the environment and human and animal health through use of organic products. I highly recommend Create-A-Scape to my fellow gardeners."
Cordially,
Ms. M.P.

"During the winter of 2004, while I was deep in slumber, my landlord determined that my apartment was unsafe and had to be removed. Several humans knocked on my door and were making a lot of noise, but I didn't hear them. I began to have strange dreams about vibrating earthquakes and someone pinching my tail. All of a sudden, I felt very chilly and everything was very bright. I opened one eye and saw a very kind human staring back at me. He had moved me out of my apartment, just in time! If he had not rescued me, my home would have been demolished with me still in it. Then there were more Kind humans staring at me. They made me comfortable and patiently waited for me to wake-up. They even checked to see if I had any injuries. The tip of my tail was minus a little bit of fur, but otherwise, I was okay. I have since relocated, but will always be grateful for the kindness shown to me by the Create-A-Scape humans."

Create-"Escape" - from the Tree!
"On March 20, 2007, I was definitely up the proverbial tree without a paddle or a way down. Climbing up the tree was easy, but after the danger had passed, I found it difficult to get down. Every time I tried, either my feet slipped on the slippery bark of the oak tree, or the selected branch was too weak to support my weight.
At first I was polite and called-out softly and quietly, but no one seemed to hear me. Again and again, I tried to climb down and continued to call for help. It was becoming cold and windy and I was hungry. Eventually, it became easier to try to sleep, rather than think about my circumstances. I would dream about warm fireplaces, rocking chairs and warm food, until a sound would startle me or a gust of wind would wake me up again. This was going to be my third night in the tree, and I was becoming weak and frightened.
Down below, a nice woman began talking to me. The sound of her voice was reassuring, but the message was not. She told me that she had called the Sheriff, the Fire Department and Animal Control. Only the firefighters responded, but their ladder was not tall enough to reach me. They said that it would be necessary to contact a Tree Expert. My stomach growled again and a sudden gust of wind made me shiver, as I fell back to sleep in disappointment.
Suddenly, I saw a man climbing the tree with spikes on his shoes. He threw a long rope over one of the branches and climbed higher. I didn't know why he was there or what he was planning to do, so I climbed higher, and higher again. Then, he spoke to me in a reassuring way, just like the nice woman had done. For some reason, I felt that I could trust him and let him coax me into the carrier, which he gently lowered down the tree on a rope, …as the first snowflakes of the Nor'easter began to fall.
He tried to find my family, but no one responded to the posters. Finally, after three days, Carl, Meloo (my sister) and I were inseparable. Leaving them would have been unimaginable. I wanted to be part of this family. The rest is history. Thanks to Carl's expertise and kind heart, I now have a new family, a permanent home and a new name. Carl thought about the night that he rescued me. It was already dark, when he got there; he could barely see more than the silhouette of my black fur against the night sky; when the ordeal was finished, it was almost midnight; and it was nearly my 'midnight hour.'
